Truck and Trailer Repair in Baltimore City, MD

Where the shop is from our shop on Ponca Street in Baltimore. Mobile service six days a week, with shop bays for the work that needs them.

Working in Baltimore City

Baltimore City is where our shop sits and where the majority of our roadside calls originate. Between the Port of Baltimore terminals, the Locust Point and Curtis Bay industrial areas, and the constant drayage traffic feeding the I-95 corridor, there is more heavy truck movement per mile here than anywhere else we cover.

City work has its own problems. Low clearances under the JFX, tight turns in the older industrial streets around Canton and Brooklyn, and shoulders on I-395 and the Harbor Tunnel approaches that leave very little room to work safely. Our technicians know which locations can be worked on in place and which ones need the truck relocated first, which saves an argument with a state trooper at two in the morning.

We run mobile units through the city six days a week, and the shop is close enough that a truck needing bay time is not sitting on a wrecker for an hour before work starts.

Baltimore City questions

Yes, all of it. The shop is on Ponca Street in Canton, so the city is the area we work most, and we cover I-95, I-83, I-395 and the tunnel approaches through it. Give us the exit number, the facility name or the gate when you call, and the technician routes straight to your unit rather than circling a site looking for it.

Tunnel approaches and the tunnels themselves are controlled by the Maryland Transportation Authority and there is no safe place to work. A disabled truck there gets moved first, then repaired. We coordinate the tow and pick the work up at a safe location or at our shop.

Yes. Chassis, trailer lighting, brakes, tires and DOT inspection work for drayage operations is a large part of what we do, and we can schedule PM work around terminal hours so trucks are not off the road during the gate window.

Usually. Tell dispatch about access restrictions when you call, including low clearances and gate widths, and we will send a unit that fits rather than one that has to turn around at your gate.
